Since the league`s inception, NBL Canada and its teams have been a strong active community partners in the respective markets they exist but has done little to share their impact nationally. Beginning this season the 5th anniversary year, the league will create a weekly promotional feature for their website, social media & the YouTube games called NBL COMMUNITY.


These spots will feature the teams & leagues work with:
- school literacy programs
- anti bullying initiatives
- anti drug messaging
- support of abused women's causes
- homeless shelter activities
- breast cancer awareness

Saidat Announced As First Female NBLC Brand Ambassador

Motivational speaker, Saidat has been named the latest brand ambassador for the National Basketball League of Canada. In this capacity Saidat will be traveling across the nation, performing the national anthem, and partake in various campaigns to promote NBL teams.

“We’re very excited to bring on board Saidat,” says Vito Frijia, President of the National Basketball League of Canada. “She brings an incredible energy to the NBL brand, and we know we’re in great hands now that she’s helping to further spread the NBL brand.”

 

The announcement was made on December 26th, 2015 at the Budweiser Gardens Stadium in London, Ontario in front of around 5,000 fans.

“I’m personally a huge NBL fan, so being a part of their journey, brand and projects is a huge honor for me,” said Saidat. “I simply cannot wait to get involved in campaigns and promoting the work they do both on and off the court.” 

 

Saidat will be the first female ambassador for NBL, and the spokesmanship will begin January 4th. Saidat is best known for her youth motivational speaking events and TV show -- The Saidat Show,

Saidat is a motivational speaker who inspires, motivates and empowers individuals by her selfless commitment to help build a better community, one community at a time.  In the past 8 years, Saidat has been to over 800 schools and community events.  On a weekly basis she speaks to over 1,000 students with her dynamic assemblies and full day presentations.  Not only does Saidat speak out to children, she speaks to adutls as well covering subjects like bullying, self-esteem, team building, compassion, and friendships.  She leads a very strong message, from the heart, that One person can make a difference.  Together we can change the world!
