Franklin Sessions, Charles Hinkle Named Players of the Week

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Charles Hinkle of the St. John's Edge has been named Central Division Player of the Week for the week ending December 3, 2017.  This is the second consecutive week that a member of the Edge has received this honour.

Hinkle, a 6'5" 205-pound small forward who played collegiately at American University, was instrumental in the Edge's first two home games this season, both victories.  He averaged 22 points per game, including shooting 55% (18-33) from the floor and 53% (8-15) from beyond 3-point range.

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Franklin Sessions of the Island Storm has been named Atlantic Division Player of the Week for the week ending December 3, 2017.

Sessions, a 6'2" 195-pound guard who played collegiately at Weber State, averaged 17.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 8.0 assists per game in the Storm's two victories this week.  He also had a signature moment in the Storm's Sunday afternoon win over Moncton, as he hit a game-winning three-pointer from the top of the key as time expired.
